What is MemoryCrumbs?

MemoryCrumbs is a crowdsourced historical photo identification project. Visitors can browse old photographs, leave clues, suggest identities, and help reconnect images with names, places, dates, and stories.

The current goal is to turn scattered, unidentified photos into searchable historical clues and public stories.

How You Can Help

Look closely at clothing, buildings, vehicles, handwriting, signs, military uniforms, family resemblances, and background details. Even a small clue can help identify a person, place, or time period.

You can leave guesses and clues under individual photos in the gallery.
